Getting started with Modfie
4Modfie is the platform where production companies, agencies and casting directors look for talent for their shoots, commercials and audiovisual projects.
As talent (Modfie) you have a profile with your photos, videos, audios and professional data, and you can apply to the castings published by production companies.
Click Sign up on the home page, enter your email, password and name, and verify your account through the link we send you by email.
If you manage the profile of a minor, you must first register yourself as a legal guardian and then create the minor's profile from your account.
Yes. A single account can manage several talent profiles (for example, your own and those of your children as a legal guardian). Each profile has its own book, personal data and participations.
From the top menu you can choose which profile you are managing at any moment. The active profile is highlighted and every action (applications, requests, citations) is performed on that profile.
Castings
5Go to New castings from your home. You will see the list of public open castings. Click the one you are interested in, review the role requirements and, if you fit, click Apply. You will receive an email when the production company reviews your application.
Requests are actions that the production company or the team asks you to complete before or during a casting: uploading a self-tape, confirming a size, accepting an availability slot, etc. You will find them in Requests and you will see a notice when you have any pending.
A citation is the official invitation to a casting test, a wardrobe fitting or a shooting day. It indicates date, time, place and what to bring. You must confirm your attendance from Citations so the production company can count on you.
Trackings record your time on set during a shooting day: clock-in time, clock-out, breaks. The production company and the TEA use them to calculate your working day and pay. You can review the tracking for each day from Trackings.
Only public castings whose requirements you meet (age, gender, location, etc.) appear. If your profile is incomplete, the platform may not be able to show you offers. Complete your personal data, appearance and book to improve the matches.
My Book
4You can upload up to 25 photos in your book, in addition to the profile picture (avatar). We recommend including a close-up, a medium shot and a full shot, all with good lighting and no filters.
Up to 10 videos and 10 audios. Videos are ideal to show a video introduction or self-tapes; audios for voice samples, languages or singing.
- Photos: JPG or PNG, minimum 1000 px on the long side.
- Videos: MP4, maximum 200 MB per file.
- Audios: MP3 or WAV, maximum 50 MB per file.
If a file does not upload, it is usually due to size or an unsupported format.
Go to Photos from your home and tap the photo you want to use as avatar. You will see a button to mark it as profile picture. The avatar is the image production companies see when browsing candidates.
My Profile
5The more fields you complete (height, size, eyes, hair, languages, etc.), the more castings will find your profile when they filter by requirements. A complete profile appears in many more searches.
These are the data the TEA needs to register you with Social Security when you are hired for a shoot: ID, social security number, IBAN, etc. They are only asked for when you are about to be hired, and they are stored encrypted.
From Appearance in your home. There you indicate eye and hair colour, build, sizes and other physical features. These fields are what production companies use to filter talents.
A brief description of your experience, training, languages or relevant interests. It is what production companies read when reviewing your application. Be specific: two or three well-written sentences are worth more than a generic paragraph.
From How my profile looks you can preview exactly what a production company sees when entering your file. Use it to detect empty fields or photos that don't look right.
Account and notifications
3Go to Settings from your home and look for the Password section. You can also reset it from the login screen using I forgot my password.
In Settings you will find a language selector. The platform is available in Spanish and English.
From Settings you can enable or disable email and WhatsApp notifications. We recommend keeping at least citation and request notifications active so you don't miss opportunities.
Image rights
3It is the legal document by which you authorise the production company to use your image, voice and name in the project for which they have hired you. Without this signed document the production company cannot broadcast the recorded material.
You receive an email with a PandaDoc link. You click, review the document and sign with your finger (mobile) or mouse (desktop). The document is stored in your account inside Image rights.
If you are 18 or older, you sign. If you are a minor, your legal guardian signs from their account. The platform automatically sends the document to the right person.
Minors and family
3First register yourself as a legal guardian. Once your account is verified, go to Represent a family member and create the minor's profile. You will be able to manage their book, applications and sign their documents on their behalf.
The legal guardian, always. When a document arrives (image rights, parental authorization, etc.), it reaches you as the guardian and you sign from your account.
Yes. From the same legal guardian account you can manage as many minor profiles as you need (several children, nephews in your care, etc.). Switch between them from the profile selector.
Work and hiring
4Hiring is carried out by a TEA (Temporary Employment Agency). Modfie is not your employer: the TEA registers you with Social Security for the shooting days and pays you the corresponding payroll.
The payment term depends on the TEA and the production company, but it is usually between 30 and 60 days after the shoot. If you have specific questions about a payment, contact the TEA listed on your contract directly.
In the Calendar of your home. The days you are cited for are marked, with the project information, schedule and place. You also receive a reminder email the day before.
Arrive on time at the meeting point indicated in the citation. On arrival, register your clock-in so the coordinator can activate your tracking. At the end of the day confirm clock-out. The tracking is automatically synced with the TEA.
